February 2013. David McDowell, Vice-President of the Jefferson Highway Association, lives in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. They are starting their 10 day Winter Festival – the “Festival du Voyageur,” (literally translated as Festival of the Traveler.) All Jefferson Highway Association members are invited to travel north this week to share the joie-de-vivre of Winnipeg's winter festival during this week of music, and celebration of the French and Métis fact in Manitoba's capital, Winnipeg. Check out the program at http://festivalvoyageur.mb.ca/en/festival/

Did you know they share in Louisiana's French heritage? This includes Zydeco music and many other interests. Enjoy bright sunshine and brisk days as you view the snow sculptures, try your skill at ice climbing, and spend the evenings at toe-tapping musical parties.
